Process for Success

1

Discover

We start by learning everything about your space, your audience, and the story you want to tell. Site visits, stakeholder interviews, and audience research all happen here.

2

Plan

We map the full visitor journey, from arrival to exit, deciding what people encounter, in what order, and how each moment connects to the next.

3

Design

We develop the visual and spatial design of the experience, including exhibit layouts, wayfinding systems, signage, and interactive elements, all tied to a single storytelling thread.

4

Produce

We manage production and installation, coordinating fabricators, vendors, and on-site teams to bring the design to life exactly as intended.

FAQ

What is experiential design?
Experiential design is the practice of planning how people move through and engage with a physical space. Think museum exhibits, visitor centers, and walk-through installations where storytelling, spatial planning, signage, and interactive elements shape what someone sees, feels, and remembers. It's about designing a journey, not just a room.
What's the difference between experiential design and exhibit design?
Exhibit design covers the individual displays, cases, and installations within a space. Experiential design is the bigger picture: how someone moves through the whole environment, in what order they encounter things, and how the space makes them feel from start to finish. Exhibit design is one part of a larger experiential design plan.
What does an experiential design agency do?
An experiential design agency plans the full visitor journey through a physical space. That includes layout, wayfinding, signage, interactive elements, lighting, and the story the space tells as someone walks through it. The goal is a space that guides people naturally and leaves them with something memorable.
How much does experiential design cost?
Experiential design costs depend on the size of the space, how much custom fabrication and interactive technology is involved, and how much content development the project needs. A smaller exhibit costs far less than a large museum or visitor center project. Most firms scope pricing after understanding the space and goals in detail.
