Zero Fatalities with the Utah
Department of Transportation

Boncom partners with UDOT on a behavior change campaign to make Utah roads safer for everyone.

Boncom utilizes the best ideation in behavior-change thinking to motivate the audience to practice safer driving actions that can actually save lives.

Boncom's work on the Utah Department of Transportation’s Zero Fatalities account focuses on encouraging behavior change surrounding the five deadly behaviors: distracted driving, unbuckled driving, drowsy driving, impaired driving, and aggressive driving.

This campaign includes creating new research-based marketing materials for TV, outdoor, radio, presentations, and digital media.

Our Zero Fatalities team spends much of the year crisscrossing the state to give nearly 1,000 safe driving presentations to more than 32,000 high school students and their parents. During the presentations, parents and teens talk about how to improve their own behaviors to make Utah roadways safer and then make personal commitments to each other to make safe decisions behind the wheel.
